Use and abuse of alcohol in New Zealand

The 2007/2008 Ministry of Health report on the survey of alcohol use in New Zealand is now available online.
Some key findings are:
·         alcohol the no. 1 recreational drug in new Zealand
·         risky drinking is prevalent
·         alcohol related harm to social life, injury, absenteeism,  continues to be an issue
