We have just receieved three new additions to the Fine Arts Library Photobook collection. These will remain on display in the glass case until the end of next week.
Christchurch 1998-2011 by the Canterbury artist Doc Ross is a poignant photographic survey of pre-earthquake Christchurch.1
Doubt box by Roni Horn consists of 56 images printed double-sided on 28 cards. The work explores the Skaftá, a glacial river in Iceland. This is the ninth book in the To Place : Island series (1990-ongoing). As described on the publisher’s website, “Each volume is a unique dialogue addressing the relationship between identity and place. The books take as their starting point Iceland and the evolving experiences of the author in this country”2
Paul Graham’s, The Present is the third in his photographic series focusing on America. The series commenced with American Night (2003) and was followed by a shimmer of possibility (2007). 3
