October 10-17 is Auckland Architecture Week 2010 and there are great events and exhibitions taking place in and around the Auckland CBD.
There is lots to see and experience this Saturday the 16th October at Sheds 1 + 2, 101 Halsey St down at the Viaduct.
The winning entries for the Auckland Architecture Awards are on display and the 10 teams in the Design Charette competition will meet, develop and present their design briefs, all in 8 hours.
Later in the evening check out "Skyrise City" which presents 8 metre high (and higher!) installations made of everything from cassette tape ribbon to oragami, that imagine the Skyrises of the future, from student teams from the University of Auckland's School of Architecture and Planning.
