
'Mole Man' Strikes Again
A man who almost caused his house to collapse by building a network of tunnels underneath has today been ordered to pay £300,000 by the high court.
William Lyttle, known to residents of Hackney, east London, as "Mole Man", had spent 40 years excavating a labyrinth of tunnels before Hackney council evicted him in 2006 to stabilise the structure.
