New Subject Librarian for Law

You may have seen our new Law Subject Librarian Xiaowei Ding around the Davis Law Library.

In her own words:

I graduated from Shanxi University, Taiyuan, China with a BA and Masters in English language and literature many years ago. I have taught English at the Taiyuan University of Technology for 14 years before I moved to New Zealand in 2001. I completed the Masters of Library and Information Studies at Victoria University of Wellington in 2004. I worked in various Wellington libraries to supplement my study, including the National Library, where I began my library career as a cataloguer.  I then worked as a subject librarian at the Architecture and Design Library at Victoria University of Wellington. Since 2007 I have been working at the Inland Revenue Department Library, where my interest in legal research began. I am very happy to be joining the Davis Law Library subject librarian team and assisting with the legal research teaching programme. I really enjoy my new life in Auckland. I am looking forward to meeting you all and helping you with your research queries as much as I possibly can.
