150-megawatt rice solar energy project in California

 “Key state permit approved for construction of California’s first commercial-scale molten salt solar power tower; thermal energy storage technology will provide firm, reliable power. SolarReserve, a U.S. developer of utility-scale solar power projects, has received a final decision from the California Energy Commission (CEC) for construction and operation of the Rice Solar Energy Project.
