I have just been perusing our new books and in the last week alone there have been four NZ young adult and and a number of children's picture books which have arrived. The explosion in YA writing by NZ authors is fantastic to see - something else we can thank Margaret Mahy for? While some of the authors reside outside NZ, many of them are living locally and maintain blogs or websites. The selection on my desk today is:
Crossing the line by Ngaire Vakaruru
Broken by Elizabeth Pulford
Aroha by Anaru Bickford, his first novel
Hunter and Fox by Philippa Ballantine
Happy reading!
Chris
