We were just sent a link that is simply too good not to share. It's a slideshow demonstrating "terrifying French children's books", as shared in The Guardian. A very high standard of illustration, no doubt, but what do you think? Is this a bit of a leap from Babar and Madeline? (which we do hold in the Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library, by the way.)
