A mad scientist creates a virus that mutates humans into monsters called "Engineers" that sprout bizarre weapons from any injury to their body. In a parallel storyline, the super-strong, no-nonsense cop Ruka (Audition’s Eihi Shiina) searches for the killer of her police father who was assassinated.
It is possible to say that you haven’t seen anything like this before. Tokyo Gore Police is a blood-splattered schlockfest that lives up to its name and stands out as a prime example of the Japanese gore genre. "The budget for fake blood for this Tokyo-based festival of slicing, shooting and chomping probably comes in about even with Titanic's budget for seawater” (Esposito, 2008).
