The Library now provides access to Early Encounters in North America, a database produced by Alexander Street Press in collaboration with the University of Chicago.
The database contains over 100,000 pages of letters, diaries, memoires, and accounts of early encounters, documenting the relationship among peoples in North America from 1534 to 1850. Well considered options for searching and browsing facilitate the exploration of this rich collection of primary resources.
