The fourth and final part of State Papers Online has now been released.

Part IV: The Stuarts and Commonwealth, James I - Anne I, 1603-1714: State Papers Foreign, Ireland and Registers of the Privy Council.
Parts I-III covered the Tudors, and the State Papers Domestic of the Stuarts.
Scholars in the 19th and 20th centuries produced dozens of volumes of Calendars of State Papers. The Calendars were lists of documents in chronological order, with abstracts or summaries. As access to the original manuscripts could be difficult, some scholarship has been based on the content of the calendars. Now that we have facsimiles of the original documents in this database, it is now easier to compare the summaries with the originals. You may also submit comments, corrections and annotations to help improve on the Calendars.
