The Review of English Studies is now inviting entries for its 2011 Essay Prize. The RES Essay Prize aims to encourage scholarship amongst postgraduate research students in Britain and abroad. The essay can be on any topic of English literature or the English language from the earliest period to the present.
A guidebook for new researchers in Classics is the Handbook for Classical Research.
The library has trial access to new modules for OBO: International Relations, Medieval Studies, and Victorian Literature.
The trial will run until 15 June, 2011.
Three newly published journals of interest to Applied Language Studies and Linguistics are available in the Library.
The Library currently has trial access to British Literary Manuscripts Online, a database of facsimile images of literary manuscripts, including letters and diaries, drafts of poems, plays, novels, and other literary works, and similar materials.
The Library currently has trial access to Bridgeman Education, a searchable database of over 300,000 images from the Bridgeman Art Library.
