The Corpus Christianorum is an important scholarly collection of the writings of Christian authors from Late Antiquity to the Middle Ages. The texts are in Latin.
These treasures are far more accessible because now they have subject headings describing the works. It is now much easier to find within this collection the volumes which are commentaries on each book of the bible, and also writings concerning such topics as anger, penance, humility, chastity, riddles, Judaism, saints, cosmology.
The Library currently has trial access to Linguistics Abstracts Online.
The database contains more than 63,000 abstracts from over 600 linguistics journals published since 1985. The trial will run for 30 days, until approximately 12 September, 2010.
New Zealand Post Book Awards finalists are on display in the General Library until September 10, 2010.
Many of the books are by members of the University faculty, including Prof. Dame Anne Salmond, Prof. Dame Judith Binney, Dr Francis Pound, Associate Prof. Len Bell, Alan Wright, Dr. Edward Hanfling, Dr. Deidre Brown and Dr. Selina Tusitala.
Papers Past has been updated with new papers, including dates spanning the Second World War, and new features, including "Zoomable view".
