Several historical indexes have been added to 19th Century Masterfile.
Galloupe's General Index to Engineering Periodicals 1883-1893
More than 100,000 citations are now online, covering both practical engineering as well as theoretical studies. Galloupe's Index provides a valuable adjunct to many technical titles not covered in Poole's Index, Stead's Index, or any of the many other indices within 19th Century Masterfile. Gradually Galloupe's work was taken over by what would become the Engineering Index. Additional files for engineering studies will be released within 19th Century Masterfile later this year.
Contents-Subject Index to General and Periodical Literature 1850-1899 (Cotgreave)
Planned as an "inexpensive alternative to Poole's Index", Alfred Cotgreave's Index also included titles not found in Poole's, e.g. Archaeological Journal, Pearson's Magazine and Progressive Review. More than 52,000 citations to both books and periodicals are now available, many with full text links.
