In July this year, the Library announced that it would be trialling access to Latin American Women Writers. This database will now be permanently available through the Databases and Article page on the Library website.
Latin American Women Writers holds an extensive collection of prose, poetry, and drama composed by women writing in Mexico, Central America, and South America. Essays by Latin American feminists and revolutionaries address both universal concerns for women, as well as issues that are unique to Central and South America.

The database covers material from the seventeenth century to the present day and currently features 36 plays and over 52 000 pages of prose. New content is uploaded on a biweekly basis.
