New Encyclopedia For Revolutionary Studies

Discover how revolutions have shaped modern society by reading the new encyclopedia The International Encyclopedia of Revolution and Protest, edited by Immanuel Ness and published by Blackwell Publishing in 2009.

The encyclopedia examines modern revolutions, uprisings and protests. Scholarly articles demonstrate how these movements have influenced each other and analyse their political, social, cultural and economic aspects. Each article has a list of suggested readings.

Of especial note is the extensive 'Image Gallery' with portraits, maps and photographs.

The encyclopedia is available online through the database Blackwell Reference Online.
