Women in the National Archives

In December last year the Arts Blog introduced the Women in the National Archives database. This is a finding aid for women's studies resources held in the United Kingdom. The database focuses especially on sources that relate to the suffrage movement in the UK and its empire between 1903 and 1928. Access to the database is now found via Archives Direct, a suite of collections sourced from The National Archives in Kew.

Archives Direct

Although there are more databases coming to Archives Direct soon it currently only provides access to one other database - the Foreign Office Files for China. We do not have online access to this collection but we do possess some of the microfilm documents.
