Haiqing Lin, Asian Languages Librarian

The Library is pleased to announce that Haiqing Lin has been appointed to the position of Asian Languages Librarian. Haiqing has been the Chinese Resources Librarian for the last three years and before that had extensive library experience in China with The Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies.

The Asian Languages collection focuses on the literature, history, language, philosophy and religions of China, Japan and Korea, in the languages of these countries. It includes reference books, periodicals, newspapers, electronic databases, videos and CDs. Material on linguistics, sociology, politics and economics is being added to support new areas of interest in the School of Asian Studies programme.
