The 2008/2009 Directory on American Philosophers gives useful information on philosophical activity in Canada and the United States. The sections on publishers and journals will be of interest for anyone wanting to publish a book or journal article.

The Library is pleased to announce that Haiqing Lin has been appointed to the position of Asian Languages Librarian. Haiqing has been the Chinese Resources Librarian for the last three years and before that had extensive library experience in China with The Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies.
During Pasifika Festival 2009, the University of Auckland Library participated with other Faculties and services in promoting course and career information at the University marquee. In addition the Library team ran a quiz and provided prizes for those willing to answer some questions on the Pacific
The next Department of Classics Research Seminar will have Prof. Roger Batty of Keio University Japan speaking on 'Rome and the Nomads'.
The talk will be held in Clock Tower 029 on Tuesday 17 March 2009 at 4pm.
