The fourth edition of the database Bibliotheca Teubneriana Latina is now available in the Library.
BTL-4 is available on computers on Level 1 in the General Library. All other computers use BTL-3 (but will be upgraded in late 2008/early 2009).
The interface is the same as that for the Library of Latin Texts and Aristoteles Latinus databases.
The detailed list including authors, titles of works and bibliographical references is found in the file incorporated into the database. (To access this file, click on 'Guide').
The manual gives you technical information and moral guidance, "And it is always possible that you entered text with a typographical error, or that there is an error in the database itself. In such cases, it is best to proceed with counterproofs. In short, scholarly work is a long daily apprenticeship in humility faced with the complexity of the real."
