The annual bibliography formerly published in Isis and material from Istituto e Museo di Storia della Scienza, Wellcome Library , Society for the History of Technology (SHOT) , and History of Science Society are integrated to create this definitive international database. It reflects the influences of science, technology and medicine on society and culture from prehistory to the present.

It has material selected from periodicals since 1975 and includes records of journal articles, conference proceedings, books, dissertations, serials, maps and other materials.
