News from the Royal Historical Society Bibliography and Irish History Online.

The RHS Bibliography and Irish History Online have each launched user surveys. You can reach the surveys via links from the projects' search menu pages or you can go straight to the surveys at http://www.history.ac.uk/rhs_website_survey/quest_rhs.php (for the RHS Bibliography survey) or http://www.history.ac.uk/rhs_website_survey/quest_rhs2.php (for the Irish History Online survey). The questions in the two surveys are the same, but we will treat the answers separately. We hope that you will complete one or other of the surveys if you have not already done so, so that we can find out how you use the bibliographies, and get your ideas for improvements or future developments. We plan to keep the surveys online until the second half of June, when we will publish the next update to the bibliographies.
The RHS bibliography covers not just the history of the British Isles but also the Empire and Commonwealth countries and their relationship with Britain. It's great strength is the indexing of book chapters that are usually not found in other bibliographical databases.
It is a free website, not limited to subscribers.
